Stephen Puleston

Stephen Puleston was born and raised on Anglesey and he is bilingual. After leaving school in Holyhead he trained as a solicitor and worked in general practice undertaking criminal work in the magistrates and crown courts, divorce and family work. All of which gave him a lot of raw material for his novels. He still lives on Anglesey, near the beach and the mountains of Snowdonia.

The rural landscape of north Wales provides the backdrop to the Inspector Drake novels – the first Brass in Pocket was published in 2013. There are six novels in the series as well as a prequel novella. The next novel Nowhere to Hide is scheduled for publication in June 2019.

Cardiff, the capital of Wales, provides the setting for the Inspector Marco novels – the first novel in that series is called Speechless. At present he has written three full length novels in that series and a prequel novella. There are likely to be more John Marco novels in 2020.
