Mary Grand

I was born in Cardiff and have retained a deep love for my Welsh roots. I worked as a nursery teacher in London and later taught deaf children in Croydon and Hastings.
I now live on the beautiful Isle of Wight with my husband, where I love to walk and write. I have two grown up children.
My first three novels and anthologies are Women’s Fiction. ‘Free to Be Tegan’ was my debut novel set in the Cambrian mountains. The next, ‘Hidden Chapters’ is set on the spectacular Gower Peninsula, and the third ‘Behind the Smile’ is set on the Isle of Wight. Catching the Light and Making Changes are anthologies of short stories.
With my fourth novel,  ‘The House Party’, I moved on to writing a murder mystery set on the Isle of Wight. It is published by Boldwood Books and available worldwide in print, for kindle and as an audiobook.  My latest novel, ‘The Island’, also a murder mystery,  will be published by Boldwood in June 2021.
